Ode To Mother and A Child

If life is a time, I am now – I Am Why

The day I longed
To be boundless and free,
Breaking every bond away from me…
Orphaned, with a heart so sore…
For I knew
Like I love you,
I can love no more…

Nurturing family, warm friends
Nursing a heart that refuses to mend…
Misty mornings,
Sleepless nights…
For I knew
Like I love you,
I can love no more…

And I remember:
“Her little body in my arms…
Kissed her on the forehead,
Sheltered her in my warmth…
A heart filled with pure love…”
Then I knew,
I will love…
Each Now,
More and more…
